The Smart ConoProbe (Smart) is the new generation of single point non-contact optical sensors developed and manufactured by Optimet. The Smart is a state of the art sensor, which is the result of over 5 years of field experience and over 100 different OEM applications around the world.
In accordance with Optimet's line of non-contact sensors, the Smart is based on our unique and patented Conoscopic Holography technology.
Like the ConoProbe sensor, the Smart has been designed for integration in a large variety of industrial applications such as: Quality Control, In-process inspection and Reverse Engineering

The Smart is a "system on chip" platform and all data processing, including pre-programmed functions, is in the sensor head.

Modes of Operation and Communication
The Smart can be operated with either external or internal trigger modes.

The integration of the Smart software with the application software is fast and simple using ActiveX in GUI. or GUI-less mode. The Smart integration software is designed to be backwards compatible with the ConoProbe software using Dll files.
It is possible to have multiple sensors integrated and work in parallel, using standard Ethernet LAN communication. The Smart also offers an optional analog output.
