Electronic Components Scan  

Executive Summary

Optimet's ConoProbe MK10 with 25 mm and 50mm focal lenses was used to scan electronic components. The main industrial inspection application is related to the components roughness. Two types of objects were measured:
  • BGA components (three kinds )
  • Chip
The following parameters were measured for BGA components:
  • Width  of small metal balls
  • Height of small metal  balls
  • Distance between metal balls
  • Chip's height and roughness
Due to Optimet's technology we were able to measure bright golden chip's roughness and dark colored BGA components on the same scan with highly accurate results.
